WAYS TO SERVE FROM HOME GRAPHIC
Near the end of my Internship, BYU campus closed all on-campus offices due to COVID-19. I was able to finish my internship remotely, but all of our service programs were temporarily on hold due to social distancing. For this reason, I created this graphic to send out in place of our usual organization information.
LEADER RESOURCE PAGE
At the beginning of this semester we switched over to a new website layout. Because of this, there were a lot of stock photos that took the place of temporary graphics that had not yet been made. I created these to fill the space and give student leaders an idea of what to expect from each of these links.
BULLETIN BOARD
Many would say that bulletin boards are pretty old-fashioned and not the most useful way to convey information, yet working at an on-campus organization, it is something that each department has. With that, I decided to make the most out of what we had to work with and change the approach. Bulletin boards are often used to put as much information up as possible and are usually filled with flyers and small announcements. Wanting to grab the attention of a student walking past, I decided to instead treat the board like a billboard and keep the information as simple as I could.
FEBRUARY
Taking the approach of a headline, I decided to incorporate a universal math symbol into the board and decided on Serving>Stressing. The additional lines above it were to help a passer by see the side by side equation, and stop and think about how much better it is to serve than to stress, something that really hits home for college students.

The colors and sense of togetherness was decided around it being the month of February with Valentine's Day just around the corner.
MARCH
Though St. Patrick's Day is a holiday in March, it was hard to combine luck with service in a way that was clever yet still respectful. With that in mind, I thought about how blessed we are to be able to serve those who aren't as lucky as we are and decided to use a popular line when thinking about service, "Who needs me today?"

I hope this board left students thinking outside of themselves as they passed the bright green board on
the hallway wall.
